… Coming together in House Churches – Connect

Imagine that you’re living 2000 years ago right after the formation of the church. You gather together with other believers every night for dinner. During dinner you take communion together to remember Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Then you recline after the meal and remember Jesus. These activities were a cornerstone to the community of believers. They would all come together in public worship and every night gather in smaller house churches to remember Jesus and learn from eachothers’ lives.  The key to house churches is that we are all in this together, we are all trying to live for God, we need to learn from eachother and bring others into this community.  Click here to learn more about our house churches.

… Coming together in Public Celebration Together – Connect

We need to come together in one place to worship God, hear about His goodness through preaching/testimony, and reconfirm the vision of what God is calling us to be as a community. It’s very easy to push this aside, but it is vital to the long term health of the community.  Click here to learn more about our monthly celebration service.

…Coming together to learn the deeper things – Grow

We need to not just discuss God and celebrate God, but we also need to learn the deeper things of God. This means that we need to sit and learn deeper things from teachers about scripture, life, and how to combine the two. This is based off the idea of why Christians in the early church went to the temple courts. They went to listen to the disciples teach about the deeper things of God. They used to go and just it at their feet to learn. This means we also must come and learn as much as we can about the deeper things of God.  Click here to learn more about our Thursday growth classes.

… Seeking to serve is a personal commitment – Serve

We must realize that we have a personal call on our lives to serve the world. The whole world is a huge place, but suppose we made a commitment to serve our world. What’s the difference you may ask? We are talking about your jobs, families, friends, and places you hang out. This comprises your world and you are a missionary to it. We must take up personally the call of Jesus on our lives to live out his mission in everything we do. We must help the poor, the lost, the downtrodden, and the broken in our personal lives and our community as a whole.  Click here to learn more information about our service, mission, and social justice projects.
