Growth Classes

A vital part of the early church was giving an opportunity for people to learn and grow deeper whenever they wanted to. This happened at the temple courts in Jerusalem. The apostles would go to the temple courts everyday and teach. You could them come at any time to sit and learn. This was a vital part of the early Church’s growth in the Lord.

We believe at City of Refuge that the same principles can apply in our lives today as we figure out what it means to live for Jesus. On Thursdays we will offer classes similar to what would have been taught in the temple courts. These classes include studies of books of the Bible, leadership training, classes for new believers, a look into other religions compared to Christianity and studying the life of Jesus.

Pure Bible Study

Every Tuesday starting at 7pm we sit down together and study the bible, verse by verse, to gain a deeper understading of God’s word.  We currently meet at City of Refuge’s Ministry Center and we are studying the books of Nehemiah and Ezra.

Spiritual Mentoring Classes

We will be learning about mentoring and spiritual coaching as Jesus did it with His disciples. Whether your a new believer, a mature believers or a believer who doesn’t feel good enough to become a mentor this seminar is for you! We will be walking through Jesus’ view on disciple making, studying how we can help people and reviewing the resources we need to become great spiritual mentors! This is one of the most important facets of your relationship with God as it goes with the great commission placed upon all believers in Matthew 28.Matthew 28:19-20
19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
